How To Effectively Trade In Both Range And Trending Market By A Single Method

2. I am still trying to digest some of the articles concepts like the
stop loss and whether to use MACD with the RSI, confusing to me.
Anybody to clean my confusion.

I concur with TDION... this stuff is weak. But, I think TDION should lighten up and provide some encouragement... realistically, at an market or volitile market these type of systems will get crusified. From the time you discover its a sideways market or volitility is up, it will be too late. Evidently, hes never traded a contracting triangle onto the gpb/yen.
Learningman. . .your new... My counsel is to run through the whole gammut of stochs, rsi, macd and many others. You are going to find that there are better preferences particularly if your day trading. This is a system that would have to be manually substituted . .you will need a lot of working hours to grab the right spot. I tried that in my first trading profession a few years ago and almost died on the 1'm things. LEARN TO PROGRAM ! Its easy and worth your time. There are indiors and methods that can do almost anything on these threads. Dream it and it's there. Think me.

the way I exchange the egy is a bit modified....
I use the rsi whatsoever....
Only macd is needed for verifiion....
I consider larger timeframe(daily) for confirmation on where the market is going
then I will wait for a pull back(a pullback can generate a signal on the 4h interval,dont take it,instead wait for the tendency to continou and you will find a signal in the path of the daily trend on th4h period.

Stoploss is 15-20 pips from ema 55,and goal is always 1.5*your calculated sl.

Like the nzdusd my goal should have been struck if I stick strictly to the principles but I saw a possible downward movement --such as 200pips - so I immediately removed my tp and allow the market run.now I've place my sl at breakeven....cheeers

Ok tell me in an indior which may scientifically spot a ranging marke. . I would like to learn....free to improvise????
All indior are telling you when a trend is unfolding and their weaknesses is their ability to tell you when the tendency is going to likely be over....thats why we've tendency ind and oscilator. .
Oscilator will tell you the turning point within the tendency but a tendency idior will certainly tell you that the price is moving ,combined the trend.when you utilize both,you may simply be faulty when a price split....break against you or on your favor....
You,lets be real,the only and the effective approach to utilize and indior would be to always respect its reading as it support the one of larger timferame....
That,this indior is weak in spoting ranging market and you claim there are indiors that has the capacity of telling you that an unfolding tendency is false is imposible....
You have to use your perceptions....
Be real....
Inform me that the egy you use,and can tell you its weaknesses....if I am correct,then why do you make money(if at all you create any). .

If yes can you describe ur modified egy ...?

But I dont need to stop trading forex so I kept trying my private(historic)trading egy TRENDLINE TRADING.infact,I'm member of DRAWING CORRECT SUPPORT AND RESISTANCE THREAD in ff.
That I beleived trendline trading is a standard trading style,and it has kept me moving in the forex biz.but never stop looking.
Sooner,I came about a egy book called HOW TO TRADE IN BOTH RANGE AND TRENDING MARKET BY A SINGLE METHOD by S.A GHAFARI.So,I will not be the originator of the system but I am posting it here for improvement purposes.i have backtested it and today I am trading it reside.
Other people may have come across this system and if so,you are welcome to contribute.
