I wanted to reveal dkrock why I didn't want to admit that looking on 4HR chart is always good for affirmation of 1HR chart.

Same egy on H1 and H4 charts, exact same currencyexactly the same set-ups.

This is of course as well as and normally changes aren't as large, but according to that which performance indiors are showing, is that the exact same currency pair on different timeframes can have in precisely the exact same time a distinct attribute, e.g. H1 - swinging, H4 - trending etc...

Yes. They were revealing so you would have sold market. The 1HR turning to market was your buy exit signal. When the 1HR return to buy, that has been your market exit signal. You said you didn't want to discuss this topic, using BOLD kind, therefore I left your own thread. Unsure what you want me to inform you. I checked my 1HR template along with the market was signaled for 90 pips, then switched back to buy and is almost 90 pips and possibly still climbing. So far, 180 pips on two turns. If I understand you properly, you don't take those transactions though, along with your indiors aren't setup to perform it, so not sure what you want to me state. Sorry.

I don't trade 1HR / 4HR charts, therefore I cannot show you what I mean in comparison to your pics. But, I can explain to you how I quantified the swing for those transactions. Please know I am an intraday swing trader. These aren't my entrances and exits. Just because I can see the swing trade does not mean I take it. I aim just vertical movement, so I just trade the sweet areas of this swing. While the pic reveals 2 transactions, I'd have really done it 4 transactions and created 242 pips. I deleted the indiors because they are my home. Again, fantastic luck with your technique. Initially I thought you're trying to swing trade. Sorry for your confusion.

    Hi dkrock.
I expect I was not known as being offencive, if so I am sorry for that.
The idea I am speaking about in this thread should be taken more as a curiosity, rather than enjoy a trading advice.
I believe this curiosity could possibly offer some understanding of the market, especially to the novice consumers, but I expect that additionally experienced traders may find it quite interesting.

This is my private sharing of knowledge that I sacrified few years to really get.

Yes, You are correct that this thread isn't about some specific sort of trading. This is about the idea, that:

    1. We could have indiors, that are revealing accumulative performance of as many egies as we only can program in these indiors.
    2. We can observe if these egies work,
    3. We can observe when, how, they work,
    4. We can compare demonions of similar egies one next to the next,
    5. We can observe how alter the qualities of such egies performances at time (if it is smooth, or it is radical)
    6. If attribute change, we could see if all egies change functionality in the same time,
    7. And what was extremely valuable to me, after some time of these testing we may have the ability to check on a nude chart, and know which egy was likely doing the best, and what is going to work well later on.

Please forget the two last charts I published. I was just trying to reveal, (what I found thanks to exactly the same idea as above) that if general approach of checking different timeframes is correct, in under certain circumstances, especially if used incorrectly, it could fail.

You're the red flag person, so I suppose this thread will probably be more like a curiosity to You.
I am not yet putting down here the way I exchange because I am affraid that it would create more mess than usefulness to this thread.

Ones again thank You To Your feedback!
And You are welcome to give Your advice, share a little bit of Your expertise, I find it rather interesting.

    Regards!

OK, yet another indior that I'd love to publish: working exactly the same manner as old ones, i.e. checking the performance of easy egy.

This indior is name Marecki_Bollinger_basic_trend which means that it's checking performance of following type of trading:

If Close[X 1] gt; Bollinger Band(var_periods, var_StdDev, upperBand, in X 1) than egy stops selling and starts buying , and reverse
if Close[X 1] lt; Bollinger Band(var_periods, var_StdDev, lowerBand, in X 1) than egy stops buying and starts promoting.

To prevent misunderstanding once I write starts buying I don't mean it's opening many positions. It opens one, virtual long position, and keeps it till stop buying and start selling. At that moment egy closes virtual long position and opens virtual short position.

    Saying additional manner:
when our egy is currently buying: we're accumulatively amassing pips up, and loosing pips down.
When our egy is currently selling: we're accumulatively amassing pips down, and loosing pips up.

If You have questions up to now, please ask!

    Regards!

OK guys, I expect that some of You analyzed the indiors that I posted above.
If not I encourage you to do so.
I still am ready to give you a hand in the event that you have some questions regarding those indiors along with the idea itself, because I am really affraid that my English is not still good enough to be 100% clear when I am describing something.

Let us get back to the title of the thread. Looking on nude chart can we select the best egy? This question is not so dumb as it may appear to seasoned men on the beginning.

Please take a look on these two charts below:

These two are USDJPY H1 charts. What's significant chart 2 is straight continuation of chart 1.
When looking on a nude charts we see that on both there are some instances when price goes up and there are some instances when it goes.
Someone could expect, that if he or she's a simple egy with good setup, this could work nicely on both charts.
But assessing this with just 1 indior (Marecki_Bollinger_basic_Trend) from previous post I have this result:

    1. 2600 pips, functionality largely rising
    2. - 4600 pips, functionality largely diminishing

And this is precisely the same instrument, same time frameexactly the same egy set-ups, just shifted scopes.

At this moment I will give You likely the most significant conclusion of this thread: Things I noticed throughout my entire work, with dozens of egies analyzed, egies do not tend to modify their functionality gradually, so a trader has the time to watch and alter a egy or just a set ups.
The majority of the time, the majority of the egies alter performance radically (more like a reddish line than green line on the image below).

that I would also state, that there's a kind of switch minutes which come with no warning, when functionality is shing from profiting to loosing and reverse.

And this rule applies to the many of egies that I have tested so far, no matter if predied on oscillators, fashion indiors, price action, quantity indiors. Only the red line shapes are distinct.

Ones again, please ask questions in case you have some!

I will post more of my observations with pleasure if there's just some interest in this topic.

    Regards!

    Hello,

To not to write to a lot of concept, I'm posting now another performance indior:
That is calculating functionality of egy based on MACD

    accumulatively analyzed egy is:

stop selling and start buying on Open[X], when MACD (X 1) gt; MACD (X 2) and reverse
stop buying and start selling on Open[X], if MACD (X 1) lt; MACD (X 2)

I wrote another RSI based indior, that's checking performance of egy trending up and down when crossing RSI degrees min and maximum (here default 20 and 80).

So we are checking accumulatively a egy that's :
buying when crossing RSI_min level up
selling when crossing RSI_max level down

    Hi there,

To make a nice set of resources for everyone I am adding new indior of functionality for trending Momentum() into the pallete.
Trending, since this is thought to be long when Momentum is over 100 and to be short when Momentum is below 100.
    Collecting accumulatively such as constantly.

I'm calling trend trading generally when a egy is buying high to market higher , and so is selling reduced to buy reduced.

I'm calling counter trend trading generally when a egy is buying low to market large, and selling large to buy low.

    Hello,

Another very simple performance indior: Marecki_MAS_cross_trend, is as previous indiors checking performance of easy egy (2 MAs cross ) at a trending direction, in order faster MA crosses up the slower one it starts to buy.
When the faster one crosses the slower one down it starts to market.

If a trader is a fashion trader he could expect it's far better to buy if faster MA is crossing the slower up one.
This indior shows IF-WHEN-HOW it works.

Please ask if having some questions!

//This indior principle is almost exactly the same as easy MACD functionality, the gap is just that MACD is likely calculated based on various sort of MAs (exponential?) , but You can compare it by yourself. Marecki_MACD indior is published in this thread.

    Regards!

I believe I will publish possibly 1 or 2 more indiors in this thread. Then I want to show how it's likely to utilize it, so I will try to generate some real money transactions in new ribbon, possibly at a TRADING SYSTEMS forum.
Also Guys, if you'd like to try out another simple egy please propose it in this thread, I will examine if it's likely to make a performance indior based on it and will try to do so and print.

    Hello,
As for this moment this is going to be the final indior to our palette.
I think this is enough to play these indiors, and perhaps to learn something from them.

This indior Marecki_Last_candle_direction_trend is drawing performance lineup of a egy that is beginning to buy if preceding candle was extended, and beginning to sell if preceding egy was short.
