Thread: ToR 1.02 Indior, Trending or Ranging

    ToR 1.20

This indior shows you if a pair is trending or ranging.
For trending markets use moving averages and for ranging
    market use oscillators.

It shows ADX values for many timeframes to help you
settle on which trading egy to use.
Sometimes you will see short-term tendencies against the H4
    and D1 trend.

It is up to you if you exchange in a ranging market. It seems
to me that trading using the long-term trend is best.
Having said that, the reason I made this indior would be to
to let the trader decide at a glance what to do, or even to
do so. Remaining out of a market is a position.

I will adjust the spacing between these objects, but it is useable
at the moment. If it pops up in usage and displays crap please
take a screenshot and post it to the forum then take me an
    email, I will debug.

I've included two screenshots, one having a ranging illuion and
one having a strong trending example.

Green is upward, Red is down, Blue is ranging. There are two arrows
for both up and down depending on the strength of this trend.
There's a 45 degree arrow up and down for starting trend and
a 90 degree arrow up and down for strong tendencies. The squiggly
    lines signify ranging.

In addition, it seems to me that in ranging markets you will receive conflicting
information from ADX on various timeframes.

    Model: 1.20
1.20 - added CCI to data introduced
1.12 - changed spacing and timeframes
    1.10 - added increase/decrease Info, corrected fonts
1.02 - added arrows, ranging icon, no zero distance state
to get icons/arrows, spacing got messed up, currently
    fixed
1.01 - unreleased, reduced number of colours, functional
1.0 - unreleased, a lot of colours for ADX values

Hi. This is a really good idea. Pardon the ignorance, but what's ADX?

  3. #3
ADX stands for average index. It's to assess the strength of a trend. It's derived from two other indiors DI- and DI . DI stands for directional indior.

You are able to open 5 charts of a currency pair, one each of 5 minutes, 15 min, 1 hr, 4hr and 1 day, then insert ADX into those 5 charts and determine where my information comes from.

I Discovered the ADX indior on MT, but Would Be the DI- and DI on MT? . . .Or can not you utilize those independent of ADX?

  8. #8
    That is a trendy indior
    One question tho:

Can it be feasible to acquire the previous data or does it merely display most current market conditions?

  9. #9
There's 1 thing I am working on today is including data from DI- and DI at a new way. I am going to add more timeframes so it will probably turn into two rows of text. I am happy you guys like it so much better. Best of luck on your trade!
