I will be trading this one. If you will exchange this news fantastic LUCK!

I am hoping to be able to exchange this news, but I keep hearing different times. I intend to take two places around the time that the news is anticipated to be released, place stop loss on the two and allow the winner run while the loser is stopped outside.

Can we have any offical word on when this news will be realeased. I hear Merlin say 10pm-2am (EST) and that I heard something about as early as 7pm (EST). Can anyone say exactly what the time period might be?

Man, I tell you this... Every time there is news coming up that I consider this method of yours...

Looks great, but I have seen a lot of whipsaws with news, which it disturbs the hell out of me.

Second, is that I don't trust 100% that my broker will fill. Say, on moves triggered by news, the machine freezes, although I keep seeing price motion. The only way to figure out this is currently giving it a go.

As I?m working short on cash here, I like not giving it a try

AS I'm trading Cable only, I am hoping this BOJ problem (hike or no hike) to gives a light on further developments...

The last time I stayed up to the BoJ announcement, it had been an actual 25 bp growth....and nothing happened!!!! The rate increased a totally nothing has been changed for at least the next hour.

My second schedule announcement: US CPI, initially dollar positive, followed by a retrace double the initial move.

But wasn't that very much expected currently priced in? This announcement appears to be about 50/50 so a rate hike should move the market IMO.

I am a little bit confused. Is that 11pm EST tonight tomorrow thursday day or day?

    Thanks.

Yeah I'm holding two postions waiting for the news to come out. Anybody hear anything on the news about it?

I wouldn't advise to hold JPY position. As if everybody expects a rate increase when it is really hiked we wont get a deviation from consensus now could we? Well....only if they leave it unchanged or if they put it into 0.75. That is my trigger

Problem is Japan does not have a set time for its interest rate release. They often enter a room about 7 pm NY Time, plus all of them chit chat, and then sporatically announce the rate. It may come between 7 pm and 8 pm NY time, but it may come later than that and around 4 hours.

The statement is schedualed for just 1 oclock that's the economic statement. There's an annoucement due at 1030 for its meeting. Nevertheless, the large on is at two. My resources are my broker and tradethenews.com
