The old quotControl Pointsquot vs. quotEvery Tickquot testing question
OK. So pretty much everybody knows that Every Tick testing is much more favored and for the most part more accurate than Control Points testing. And most everyone has experienced that most EAs that test really well on Control Points do horribly if run on run on Each Tick.
I just experienced for the first time in several years, an EA with a particular setting that examined well on Every Tick but horribly on Control Points. It's quite unusual I think.
Has anybody experience this frequently? If so, is there some reason why it might do this well on Each Tick and poorly on Control Point instead of the usual seems fantastic on Control Point and not so great about ET? Is that a random thing?
