Thread: What should have happened...

I need some explanations about what occured. I pick my moves based on candlestick analysis. On a particular movement, dependent on the bar with an arrow pointing towards it, I put a brief. I put a brief since the body was thinner the previous bar. I took this weakness, because of the decrease quantity of buyers. That's the reason I shorted. In accore with another bar, I lost big. Possibly I am wrong with my analysis. If you understand why I would be wrong, feel free to let me know. Thanks.

    This is a joke, right?

There is no motive, the market does arbitrary things, any outcomes are always a probability. Isn't this all apparent?

Oh, you're not joking. Sorry. The candle you point to on the chart you provided is a spinning top candle. It does not mean a decrease in the amount of buyers. The amount of buyers is not represented by the candle formation; rather the candle signifies the PA movement during that time period (I believe you provided a day chart). The tail on the spinning best candle says that during the day, the PA moved down below the candle's starting price. However, as the day closed, buyers had returnedmoving the price over the starting price. I wouldn't use any of that to make a buy/sell choice, but that is what that one candle says to me. If you're looking for suggestions, I'd add the following: Google charting candlestick and start reading up about what human candles imply; Google candle formations and patterns and research candle patterns, possibly looking carefully in reversal patterns. Good luck.

Finally, and with due regard to Craig, the market activity is not always arbitrary. The idea here would be to know when those times are, and also to have the ability to identify repeating patterns to trade in order to increase the probability of success. IMHO.

Sorry, mostly arbitrary is actually what I intended to say.
BTW, I also thought the OP was joking to start with.
