Thread: My way to highway

By interest, is your performance % of Fixi account like the Master acc or is a noticeable difference?
As Fixi gives more money but limit dd to 3.5 percent in the end you've got the excess issue of trading more funds = harder to have to order full at a price near the master.

In the actual existence span of hedge funds; the hedge fund manager negotiates great deals with various brokers to reduce transaction cost; thus increasing his bottom line. You have verified my suspiciton that brokers offering PAM are questionable....
It is not really unusual spread or commission, I only wanted to tell, it's worst compared than what I cover at ICM or even Axi...
at ICM I've 5.5$/lot commission, at Axi I have 5/lot....vs. In Fixi I cover the whole 7$/lot. . .on top the spread tends to be number of pipettes wider too.
So not exorbitant, but surely far from perfect.
Being a scalper on those accounts, there's a visible gap, and every % which goes to pay the cost is coming off from the profits, ie. My pocket.

The deal isnt PAM, but a prop arrangement in this instance.
Unfortunate, need to start out somewhere, and among the positive aspect still is there was no upfront fees to pay, no demo trials to proceed thru, and while the performance fee isnt huge, still adds to the base line when you are a trader.

in this case, it's about 500$ a month to my bottom line from that direction. As the majority of the task was done by the trade copier, and very little extra, ultimately I think it's fairly great.
When and if I could move a step up there to state 500k prop funds, the amounts may start to look better. Also, December was not too fantastic to me, until date the poorest month on master, and I believe some reduction on Fixi because the different cost structure as mentioned above.

Btw, now GbpUsd did give at the end something to perform. (for better view M1, but traded in the typical M5!)

at a way shame that I didnt take the previous one from 25, ( the alert was correct there), but it's human nature. . .that minute I believed I had enough of GbpUsd. So much so the last open entrance that transported also shut with a little reduction. . .as wake shows the timing wasnt bad, my patience was not the best however.
Entire, happy, this 6 small entrance still resulted 0.37%. Right where I had been hoping to be for now.

I think some I only answer in the previous post I made.
I figure when I referred to a prop deals, like it's possible to find in commercial, where you can demo and pay ahead for 20-40k equity ( in hope), even a 10% maximum DD will have limitations on the earnings, and the greater (like 70-75%) presumed performance will likely negatively operate on your plogy, lure overtrading in hope to hitting the jackpot.
In regards to cash, the number one problem is surviving long enough to grow to a level where it is all critically significant.
For this, requires 3 points: the opinion of the big picture, no immediate demand for a quick payout, and of course a steady track record with low DD%.

As the lot sizes are modest due the DD limit, there isn't any fill issues at this point.
Most lots less than 1, scaled up into the 250k account.

Thus far, it looks you are a fantastic trader. To reach to proper funds amounts, such as 500k, which is not a terrible number, might take some years. Could be approximately 7. If you are patient enough, you will get there... Even if you are not patient, although not doing anything stupid, it is going to take you the same amount of years.

MZ, my friend, thanks for passing by, and for the compliment.
The fact is I dont want anything near like 500k private funds to trade. But maybe you meant like total assets, more likely scenario. The math is intriguing.
But assume, for sake of playing around, that this would be the case:

for pleasure, I did some math, to figure about current AUM numbers, also took the notional values, ie. (10k @2x risk =20k; or 250k@ 0.35% risk = 87k)
the total measured as 1x risk accounts approx 450k. Throw in my funds, assets are over 500k as of now.
Today for more pleasure, some quick math on what that means...
require 3 percent a month ROI, which will work out to
    1500$ from private funds
    2700$ from resources ( @ just 20% performance fee)
or something like a total of 4200$ per month.
The obvious question, could I reside from 4200$/month?
    If yes, all is great.
If not, then: could I make more than 3 percent a month normally?
    What the statistic suggests?
    Myfxbook:
    Daily:0.28%
    Monthly:8.61%
    Drawdown:7.86%
so, maybe it is possible that going forward can fulfill or exceed 3 percent a month.
Additionally, a risk that eventually assets grow.
Lol, virtually the sky is your limit, right?
Today, suppose this was not a play on the numbers. . .would it be an acceptable reality?

Alright. I got the impression you wanted that the 500k. Staying on top is more frequently harder than getting there. My IQ is low and that I really do understand simple math mainly. Could not ch all your numbers. But I am sure you do know what it is you are doing, as it is observable from your trading results.

I once dwelt with 0.50 euros each day (1995/6). That is is 50 euro cents every day. Back in 1997. I was super happy when I began making like 700-800 euros per month. Then in 2000/1 nearly added a zero. Then in 2003/4 I've worked like 12-14 hours every day, nearly 7 days a week, for no salary in any way. Two full years - 0 income. In 2005 I've begun with 400 euros a month. In 2007 added yet another zero. Now $4,200 per month is absolutely inadequate for me... Thus, your personal goals will determine how much is enough for you. 4.2k is a nice number to begin using...

let make your numbers clearer then.
The example stood for 3% a month average. My monthly average is a little greater than that.
Concerning the 500k. . .read again the previous article of mine.

    interesting moment.
Somewhat unusual too, for me, not actually the 17 entrances, but that all of them been around GbpUsd now!
(15 on the chart bellow, 2 similar fashion, but didnt match onto the same screen unless I zoom too much, awful for visibility).

pls ignore the TP lines, they're meaningless, I use some generally in the event a sudden jump my way. . .there was no such, all close was done manually, as normal.
Trend up is powerful now, but with all the stairs like way it is best to make a little profit, if scaled in cautious.
    Or be blessed. or both.
Anyhow, internet 47 pips, or 0.92% on main. Eventually a trading day in January!

my sense that GU is about to strike more resistance, following a big up day (200 pips approx) but it can go both ways. I'm prepared to give it another go around 1.42, else tomorrow is another day, and there is another commerce.

    happy trading!

    Hello,

I Have been following your thread for a while. If I am not mistaken, you're using some type of grid entrances? In that case, do you mind to share how it works? Is that based on fixed lot dimensions or it changes?

    Cheers.

Have you had any alloions from PSY ? I see there that you fulfill all 3 prerequisites: over 75 rating, over 9 months trading, and also over 1000USD
