Thread: Volatility Exploit

    I've been Seeing CHF/JPY, EUR/USD, EUR/JPY and AUD/USD.

I'll look at Slow Stochastics (14,3 using a clean cross out of the 20 or 80 place ) on Oanda for a trigger. That isn't ideal is something I tell myself quite frequently. I only had two trades this week. A very long CHF/JPY which I exited early because a short on AUD/USD introduced it seft.

Since starting this diary, 23 %.

    15% this week.

I've my eye on a brief for AUD/USD but I'll hang it up for the week.

    No closed trades yet.

I'm in the process of creating and funding a sub account in order to hedge. This is to solve the problem with not having the ability to exchange in both directions on one Oanda account.

This won't change my method at all. The position sizes will remain the same: Every trade will risk 25 percent while the reward will be 5 percent of your account. I do so by utilizing the balance and multiplying it by 10 then using that as the posistion size if I'm investing in a pair where USD is about the right. ie EUR/USD and AUD/USD.
XXX/JPY pairs require the price of USD/JPY to be thought about.

The account is down about 15% after accepting three large losses. -250,-220 and -250 on CHF/JPY.

I did not consider gross shots on USD/JPY which will influence CHF/JPY. So, I'll be sticking with EUR/USD for now.

Just an outsider peeking in, but... it sounds as in the event that you've done well with AUD/USD also. Perhaps EUR/USD and AUD/USD? Fantastic luck and good trading.

Below are some details on this method.

    The 1h, 30m, 15m and 5m have been tracked.

I utilize Slow Stochastic (14, 3) as a trigger after a bounce out of the 80 or even 20 overbought and oversold areas. A pleasant, smooth signal is perfect, be picky. Put an entry order at a price better than the current market price.

Risk reward ratio is 5 to 1 with larger profit and prevent losses on 1h.

Timeframe Goal in pips Stop in pips
    1h 50 250
    30m 25 125
    15m 12 60
    5m 6 30

My risk management is just one 10K lot per $500 of balance.
