not much response when NFP came out, it appears like price would have hit my initial TP

    oh well...

Hi there, Congrats to the thread that is wonderful. What is your success rate and did anyone try to develop an EA for this?

EA Looks difficult because of the TDI, Just wondering.

    eurcad failed

took a 123 short off ema resistance . .but although price wicked through 2, it didn't close through it ... , and realised why afterwards as price approached my stop. Bulls were too strong!

Next time I will be waiting to get a close first before becoming in....

    eurusd brief

I can not see why this one failed. It's merely one of those occasions?

I watched it late, and it looked on the point of failing so I clicked just 0.01 lots....

    Also it did neglect.

I visit that a lower top, then a lesser low [final past ema], subsequently tdi indie ....but price then shot upward?

Lisat, will you see anything wrong with it??

I can't see anything wrong with the entry only the stop loss is probably too small for the time in the morning as it will tend to swing around some. I would have the stop loss above the previous h4 pub that's still much less than 50 pips.

    I visit

    okay thanks.

I normally like to maintain a hard stop these days with RR 1:2 compared to the big 50 pip SL [using the tighter visual stop]. I normally put my hard stop above where price bounced off the lower high resistance, . . .it normally works tbh. If I can't find a tight quit like this I usually pass on the trade. I keep my TP about 50 pips . .but will shorten it a little occasionally based on the ATR of the pair and space to the previous LH, . .but if I can't find a RR of 1:2 then I tend not to take the trade. My final eur/cad trade has a SL of 17 pips and TP of 35 pips. I think it would have worked if I'd waited for the 123 to close past 2 instead of merely wicking it past.

About the opening of the 12:00pm bar or eur/usd there was actually a signal to depart . . .as h4 was hooking up and TDI m30 was up, . .and at the point I think I did depart ....and then within the next bar my would be stop was removed

here you could see I manually left marginally until the sl was hit.

Thanks for the comments though, its good to know I am getting the entries directly

You did exactly the right thing as it happens as that spike over the previous candle could have taken a larger stop anyway
