Thread: MT4 Freezes my laptop

  1. #11
Moment past I run Windows 7 in SAFE MODE using media, and MT4 worked well!!!! I updated everything and it was fine, then I reboot and started in normal mode and it froze again (it was already updated and in C:/MT4)

    maybe something with graphics card?

When it is the graphics card then why can it work without a network connection.

Try seeing whether any process goes to 100% when MT4 is already started. That should provide a clue to that software is misbehaving. Mind you, the computer will crash prior to the the task manager is upgraded so the data might not be accurate.

If task manager doesn't give anything useable, you can try brute force.
Turn off all running progr. Most things on the task bar (icons, bottom right) should be gone. Then run them one by one and see if they interfere with MT4.

You can use msconfig to disable progr set to auto launch on startup. It provides their CLI commands so you can begin them up via the'StartRun' menu.

Okay I tried to observe processes but the freeze occurs quicker than I can see it in process supervisor.

YEAAAA eventually I have discovered what origin freezing!!!!!

Maaan it had been solid!!! So many hours seaching on the net to get know that it had been sound
    I've updated my sound card.
Earlier it was: asus Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.5928
Now it is: Biostar G31M Ver. 6.x Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.6299 for Vista, Win7

    thanks all for Assistance

For people who still have these wonderful beasts - the ASUS G51J - the preceding post was spot on!
Three and a half years on it was still helpful.

I have the identical laptop as the OP with exactly the very same symptoms. I found it difficult to think it could be the audio driver. I thought something else has to have changed while the audio driver was updated. But when I realised that my audio driver was the exact same version as the OP's I thought there may be some truth after all.

In any case, my driver was upgraded to a newer model and MT4 works alright!

    Thanks gicho.

Uninstall, hard delete mt4 from the body, and install cTrader

Been there also, thankfully made the aforementioned option. No more problems

    Cheers

    Hello

that I believe you ought to unistall mt4 and once you configure your computer and you must eliminate your cookies or information about it.

After you can install again and you can work with mt4 well

    Regards

The reason is in your 64 bit windows. As I know, there are a few problems using apps with 64. Have you tried to run MT4 on another OS?
