That is an upgrade to the very first post of the thread on 1/14/09. This thread was started long back when forexintuitive was a much smaller loion. It was unusual at that time to see more than 20 people on the internet at any given time. My how times have changed.
This thread has changed my life in many many ways and it's changed several others too if my email inbox is any indior. This thread is all about helping people learn to trade with a easy way BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY its about supplying a kind and non-threatening loion for beginners. There is literally an army of old timers , together with me, be sure of it.
The single most significant reason that this thread continues to generate winners is it constantly pounds house that this is a business and has to be treated as such. Your going to get to see about that in a moment but first I want to thank someone.

Okay are you prepared to read the reality? Are you prepared to confront what no beginner to this business wishes to read or hear? Of course its only my opinion but it comes from 26 decades of blood,sweat, tears and experience. Thats all I actually teach here anyhow. . .experience. Follow it and join the multitudes here who are succesful traders or dont and go thru hell just like most do in this business early on including myself to get 8 grueling years.
To be successful in this business you need a sound egy (notice I didn't say egy), common sense, discipline and a rock solid understanding that should you not treat this as a business you have a ZERO CHANCE of long-term success. 95 percent of new businesses fail when the owner knows what they're doing. Do you really believe this business is going to work for you after 3 weeks practice or less?
Whats interesting about the business is that it affords the person that chooses to use common sense a means to find out it without losing a ton of money or any for that matter. Below is the outline I used 20 years ago to finally find some achievement and I have become nearly plogical about it. To this day any new method im testing or some other refinement to existing methods goes thru the exact same procedure. Also bear in mind this. Small accounts could never keep me focused to be ultra picky about my entrances and you will probably find exactly the exact same thing. Small accounts = more than trading and YOU SIMPLY MUST LEARN TO BE PICKY ABOUT YOUR ENTRIES. Option? Force yourself to become picky (almost impossible) or follow the plan below while your saving.
Before the egy I need those of you who are new or struggling to read 1 sentence from someone who has come before you. Just a regular person just like you. This person followed the plan, got involved and stuck with it for half of a year. Listed below are his words and they ought to tell you something. There are no free lunches in the business. Give it your best here for 6 weeks and see whether you can do exactly the same.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
if you're new to trading and/or you have had trouble finding some consistent success, then you must understand something. This is not a game and it's not a means to get rich quick. I guess there's the strange exception of the person with a ton of money to play, but if you approach this business with no business plan and the willingness to follow it, you are almost certainly doomed to failure. A doctor spends ten and years in a grueling learning curve to be successful and earn a six figure income; anybody who believes that their pot of gold in this business is a couple of months down the street is in for a rude awakening.
Below is a minimum requirement (in my opinion) to find out without losing your @#! @#%$ if this business is right for you. By following these recommendations, you will be fixing trading like a business and you will be learning and gaining confidence. I believe this is so significant, I will make the following statement: If you begin in this business utilizing no frequent sense, you don't have any one to blame other than yourself when you eliminate all of your money. There is no reason to ever lose a dime of your cash when learning to trade. A well thought-out small business program, common sense and hard work is required for anybody who wants a chance at success. A lot of folks meet those prerequisites and fail, but it doesn't mean that you need to watch your bank account go to zero.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / THIS IS A BUSINESS
WHATEVER / WHICHEVER WAY YOU DECIDE TO TRADE YOU MUST (AT A MINIMUM):ON DAILY AND WEEKLY TIME-FRAMES, YOU ONLY DEMO-TRADE FOR THREE CONSECUTIVE PROFITABLE MONTHS IN A ROW. YOU DO NOT PROCEED TO STEP TWO UNTIL COMPLETED. OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH HALF OF THE INVESTMENT YOU INTENDED TO GO FULL WITH AND CONTINUE TO ONLY TRADE DAILY AND WEEKLY TIME-FRAMES UNTIL YOU ARE PROFITABLE THREE MONTHS IN A ROW MINIMUM. YOU NEVER RISK MORE THAN TWO PERCENT OF YOUR ACCOUNT ON ANY ONE TRADE. YOU DO NOT PROCEED TO STEP THREE UNTIL STEP TWO IS COMPLETED. FUND A FULL ACCOUNT AND CONTINUE TO ONLY TRADE DAILY AND WEEKLY TIME-FRAMES UNTIL YOU ARE CONSISTENTLY BUILDING YOUR ACCOUNT FOR AT LEAST SIX MONTHS. YOU NEVER RISK MORE THAN 2 OR 3 PERCENT OF YOUR ACCOUNT ON ANY ONE TRADE. IF AND WHEN YOU DECIDE TO DAYTRADE ON A SMALL TIME-FRAME AND YOU DON'T FOLLOW THIS TEMPLATE, AT A MINIMUM, YOU ARE ALMOST CERTAINLY GOING TO FIND YOURSELFE IN TROUBLE. IF YOU ARE GOING TO FOLLOW A SYSTEM OR ANY TRADING STYLE AND YOU DON'T FOLLOW THIS TEMPLATE AS FAR AS THE DEMO PROCESS, YOU ARE NOT TREATING IT AS A BUSINESS AND YOU HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME OTHER THAN YOURSELF IF YOU LOSE YOUR MONEY. Should You Ever SUFFER THE LOSS OF 30 TO 35 PERCENT OF YOUR ACCOUNT, YOU STOP TRADING. PERIOD-PARAGRAPH. YOU GO BACK TO DEMO AND Determine WHAT WENT WRONG. WHILE DOING THIS, YOU REFUND YOUR ACCOUNT BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL AMOUNT. You Don't GO BACK TO LIVE TRADING AGAIN UNTIL YOUR DEMO HAS SHOWN YOU WHAT WENT WRONG AND YOUR ACCOUNT IS BACK TO FULL STRENGTH BY WHATEVER MEANS. IF IT TAKES ONE MONTH OR SIX MONTHS, IT DOES NOT MATTER. You Have to FOLLOW THIS APPROACH IF YOU DON'T WANT BLOWN ACCOUNT AFTER BLOWN ACCOUNT. Your goal needs to be this. Learn, learn and learn more and do not do anything dumb while your getting your feet on the ground. The ultimate goal of any dealer is to construct an account to a size where only a few great trades per month generates a staggering income. Hardly anyone ever gets there since they do not treat it like a business. They do dumb things that they would never do in almost any other area of their life and it's because of the money that can be made. If it takes you a couple of years or even ten or five to reach the level of a staggering income, is it worth it? The choice is yours.

Every question that you could probably consider has been answered several times by now. The PF (http://www.group.com) is great because it has all of the stuff in 1 loion, it's concentrated, without lots of the outside noise that you might get on a public forum. You definately simply have to obey certain voices especially within this thread (If you read the thread in the start you will just begin skipping some peoples articles after some time lol, and get to the great , that is what I did)
I say if you are cash strapped then only read this thread and then follow it and demo, backtest. . Function... No need to put yourself under financial pressure my buddy. ALL of the substance in the PF, ALL the excellent traders in the PF (Instructors, Senior members and traders alike) Still won't on their own make you profitable, that's up to you.
That's up to you my friend, be steadfast, brace yourself and work hard and victory will be yours . . Now, or later on.

I see there's a discussion about this. Ive asked a few people opinions and this was mikes.
I believe there's just no way to keep things fresh in a massive public thread such as yours. So you are likely to have everybody's different viewpoints/methods all at the exact same time. Since they're all based off the very same theories I do not have anything wrong with this, we just have to be diligent in approving the novices the proper precautions and steps to take.
I agree with mike but im worried nontheless.
We all know the basic substance can actually help new men and women find some historical success and most of us know how critical that stage is.
I have zero problems with variations based from the fundamental substance but we have to always be sure that new men and women understand what's best for them.
To do this I need the variant people to openly be eager to inform new people that demoing there variant is nice but they should concentrate on the basic substance.
Clearly what we do here is simple but I don't want new people coming out of the gate taking blind touch trades THINKING THAT IS WHAT THE THREAD WAS DESIGNED TO TEACH. NO NO NO.
You touch traders have fun and do something but help me maintain the new people out of trouble.
I will put this in article 1 for reference.

I thought I might begin a fresh thread to post graphs. My question is this and I am sure can tell me the solution. I am not sure if I would like to do this yet but just how a lot of you would like me to really post prospective trades. The thing to remember is that two people may take an identical entry and one will lose and the other will triumph. The factors to trading are endless. Anyhow what does everyone believe. jim
