Thread: The clarity thread

  1. #1
In this thread we're covering various aspects of trading and of course life!

This ribbon is twin with Howard as well as the 1000 trading experiences (2014)! , a trading-journal of a 2014 brand-new trading account, largely high-risk trading.

I really don't know for how long I will keep following this thread, so consider it. Anything you need some help or have some question about anything related to trading,...
    thank you!

Well I see is not simple to start a discussion, in fact maybe there isn't anything to discuss about.
Moonday is almost always a slow day

Yes, now that I think about it, the actual purpose of this thread is to have some chatting

    So. . Cheers!

Idea spaceduck, but what to discuss? That's the question.

Is your thread open to simple newbie questions - how to draw a trend line, which MA is greatest and in the future.

Can you have a prefered method?
Will you be chatting about funymentals (the area most have difficulty with)

are we simply opening up the chat box and seeing where this goes?

If so what's the people's opinion on Australia's new leader?

Wow that was a good contribution, let us see.
I would say, let us forget about technical stuffs (the way to draw a trendline, what ma to use, what strategy is good), in the end the one thing accountable for a profitable trading is that the experience gained in time, so any discussion about methods and indiors will be dangerous and counterproductive in some manner.

Let's keep it opened conversation box as you stated, and let us keep it in the present moment!
Interesting question concerning the Australia's new leader, I'm just completely ignorant about that, from my radar.

Seems as the very crucial events of these times would be the syria theatre, the taper, the german elections and only for now the growth of the italian government crisis (though these past 2 events aren't soo much impactful I guess).

What can we say, seems like a great time in terms of chances, the syria situation is very intriguing, and the incoming taper too, good to keep an eye on equities, and why not, on gold too.

You should add Spain and the euro into the watch list in addition, it would appear that the inflation/GDP reports have been tampered with and are way of the mark.

While the world watches for it's second peace keeping mission (although syria has nothing of use to the planet ) the accountants of the euro play fudge thy amounts and see if anybody notices.
Syria is a short lived difficulty - it's all about saying to the world, torturing your people will not be tollerated - only adhere to bombing them please.

The issue with spain is the inflation numbers and GDP don't pile up against the other reports - job numbers, production, construction, unemployment etc..

    Hello,

Concerning syria and gold. Do you have a trading plan? (for example buy gold if us declare war), or are you waiting that the market pick the way up or down and enter?

I am type of 99% technical, however see foundamental events as alysts (still not sure when the foundamentals are still alysts of the market, or when the market is that the alyst of foundamental occasions ( kinda odd ).

However, my strategy for today will be bullish on goldat least in the short term, appears there is still some space to proceed, and bearish usd.
In case of war (peace assignment ! ) ) , I don't exclude some sort of spikes that are upside for gold, the alyst effect.

And that's my view right now, how about your?

I was thinking you were a foundamental trader.

I trade since 3 Decades and examine about 1000 indiors here in FF. I'm at the point of thinking that one moving average is adequate for trading. It is tested by me using EA and the result was good. But after 3 decades of study, and complied stuff, I cant believe that its so simple regardless of the result of the EA. What do you thing about that?

No problem, and sorry for the numbers (I deleted thembetter to keep them out of the thread, otherwise we may fall in the confusion of trading signals and different remarks etc.).
