Thread: Will the pound disappear?

  1. #1
    I discovered the talks across the net that pound will disappear and the UK will be using euro instead. How probable is this varient? Their views can be shared by anyone from the UK. I care because Pound has nice volatility during london and ny sessions into this comparison with euro and additional pairs. It's going to be quite sad if it will disappear.

    In accordance with some economist over there the UK will never give up the pound. For starters if they give up conntrol of their money supply they cant changes things(like devalue it) when things seem bad. The problem the other Euro countries are having is because they have zero control of their money supply. I guess it's the authentic golden rule.

    It won't happen any time soon. I hope it will not happen to be fair.

    Is it likely the euro will disappear?
    I'd say that this is more likely

    No intention to be a wise guy, but something tells me if the UK started with the Euro, there could be lots of volatility happening.

    As for the chance, I wouldnt understand? I would say it is slim as there have been only as numerous rumors and theories about nations jumping away from the Euro as you will find the UK. If the super high liability the UK banks has gets stampeded and their nations goes bankrupt, then they might need a way out, linking the EU and embracing their currency may be that way?

    Yes, that's precisely what I had been contemplating as soon as the TRY was going really strong. If it could shut a massive gap and move near the 1:1 ratio with the Euro, perhaps the transition could be smoother? I dont know if it is the method to look at matters, but it sort of makes sense. A lot of folks looked at the USD/CAD going 1:1 also. Interesting perspective, but I would presume they would manuever in such a way that the ratios wouldnt matter all that much.

    If the pound's volatility is going to be spared then nothing to worry about. But we'll have trading chances without gbp/jpy gbp/usd and gbp/chf.

    So far as I am aware there is pressure from European Central Bank on UK to change to euro, and a good deal of misleadig answers, that Britan can select euro as it find decent moment for that. Some german politican said that if they don't accept euro, why not they stop EU?

    In general it appears quite obvious not just one briton enjoys euro.

    Btw who would like to swich from bills with Darwin and Smith on it to bills with soe lousy windows or bridges [that is one of the reason why euro is piece of *** nothing]

    That is not to mention it won't occur although the British people do not need it. It is going to be the next step from the New World Order cunningly sold and disguised as unilateralism. Lt;/sarcasmgt;

    There is a major fight brewing at the Euro zone at the moment. It is all the states that changed to the euro rethinking it. They've lost the capability to set their own interest rates and to adjust the money supply. In the previous 4 weeks their have been many articles printed about going back to the regional currencies that existed before the euro. Many of the locals governments are starting to rethink the euro. Thus either way for us currency traders the next few years will be real interesting.
