I had been thinking hard and long and I realise that all the mathematical technological indiors (for example, MA's, MACD's etc ) should be dropped outright...

I had spend months testing and developing indiors and mechanical trading systems and that I see that exceptionally profitable MTS cannot BE MADE. Thank God that individual brains are still required to trade and not the energy of their computer... Atleast we've got a chance against large banks. After all if MTS could get the job done then the banks could sweep us off... I mean who can have the larger computer, Joe shmoe or CitiBank?

Anyhow this really isn't my first idea as to the reason why indiors do not work. Since they constantly have parameters inside them they do not work! The lenth of cycles in the markets change ALL the time so that a static indior could become either too slow or too fast producing either too premature or overly after signals. I realize more and more what curve fitting is... ALL the oscillators, and trend following indiors such as MA's have them... Even fibonacci lines are marginally curve fitted... Not merely the truth that price rarely touches pip by pip (on which brokers chart?) , the interpretation of that lineup retracement or what constitutes breakout/retracement is obscure...

The egies most men and women use can be divided into two broad egories. Trend following and ranging, or expanding-contracting.

Individuals whose egies follow the tendency will lose during the range, and those using range based egies will shed during the tendency... Plus trading with tight stops and reverses can really give charity to the broker...

It appears that the market either tendencies, ranges, or whipsaws that induces individuals who ch the tendencies or ranges or executive stop-reverse tactics to lose all in their turn...

Placing smaller SL will induce one to be hit much more often. . .Setting bigger stop loss would eventually give enough large loses to flush the depo... And that I had been a fan of reverse and stop egies until the market shifted....

And since the trend/flat cycles shift all the time, you will never know if the trend will get flat and vice versa...

Any thoughts? Thank you.
