Thread: Noob needs to learn more - what books do I need?

I know you did not like the Taleb's book, but have you read another book from Taleb, The black swan? I enjoyed both books from Taleb... however they are similar in its style.

Besides reading books I would suggest two things which have helped me a lot:
    1) Trade together with someone, form a bunch of people to trade with or Find a coach
    2) Use a detailed journal of your transactions, mark down as much info for each transaction as you can and go through your journal before and after each session

I believe that you must give another attempt to taleb. However, you need to see that taleb is both trader and philosopher so dont expect to hear from him if should you enter or if should you exit a transaction. He has a new book coming called Antifragile so that might be interesting.

I must admit, after reading this thread, so much light was thrown on the pure plogy of mastering ones emotions when it comes to trading! Look egies I believe can be developed by the masses of analysts on the market, but the psych of controlling the egy by strict proportion is of enormous importance. I've read many novels (not likely to record in an older thread now) and have been watching the markets and the reactions to FA events for a long period before I've eventually decided to begin trading. Of course, I am still on a demo account, heading on for my 4th month today, but I seem to be creating a egy that's profitable, when I could control my emotions... havent conduct an account dry nonetheless. So that said... the opinions and information from the expert traders are HUGELY appreciated!
