I stumbled across figure and point once I was analyzing Gann. And because then tracked down this forum. I am rather pleased there are forerunners on here who've mastered this. I really like it, and have only ordered Thomas J Dorsey's book. Then I want to track down a copy of du Plessis's book. So lots of trading platforms now have PnF although some only seem like candle charts dressed in PnF. The original method makes so much more sense. I hope I will find the hang of it too, although when I am reading about it and taking a look at the way it's formulated, I believe I could do it. But when I have a issue, I then know who to call on for assistance.

I'm happy to welcome you. And why should there be a book ordered? Since it can be downloaded. If you want I will send an e-mail you the publiion in PDF format to the PNP. It's surely not composed by Dorsey, but really useful.

Update! I'm halfway through the book and have made a chart for some shares that I have as an investor. This method of charting is outstanding, making the whole picture a lot clearer. I will continue to use Price Action to enter and exit the market, however, the PF helps to give a greater edge to my decisions. Time will tell!

    Welcome to this group Quartet,
I am glad that you've found point and figure analysis procedure, you can always post your queries. . I am currently concentrated just in Stocks. . But I can always share the decent setups with Forex if u all desire. . Get the fundamentals from Du Plessis's book and then move onto Thomas Dorsey you will find comfortable. . The relative potency and bullish percent concepts are well explained in Dorsey's book. .

    Thank you

I expect I've successfully uploaded a picture of Highland Gold. I've purchased shares with this organization and as you can see on the F and P chart it has made significant profits over the past year. The box size is reversal 3, 2. Above the chart, a PO is = Price Objective. I have also worked this out manually, and Stockcharts is one or 2 points greater than my own price objective. However, anything can happen! What I have seen with this process of investing/trading is that it keeps me in the market for more. Initially I purchased and sold the shares too many occasions, and that was such a waste of money, due to commissions etc.. As soon as I looked at the F and P chart for this company, I realised I might have saved myself the trouble of buying and selling when I need never have done so. But that is a hindsight matter, but from hereon I will be far more circumspect, as F and P has certainly made a significant difference to the way I buy or trade.

U may use 1 point alteration and note where the buying or selling is happening mostly. . I will post some chart for ur reference. .

Some Reference Chart, hope this helps. . Attempt to learn the various nuances in visiting the chart. . Sometimes 3 pt chart will provide you better details and sometimes 1 pt might provide you better deatils or even various box sizes might provide some particulars. . So always try to yell and learn.

When you are starting out learn to draw the Flat SR Lines and 45 Deg SR Lines. .

Attempt to use the software I mentioned in article 1 so u can plot unique variations which will allow your learning curve easy and quick.
