    Hi All,

I'm new to trading, and now I don't understand the way the Time Zones work when you take into consideration Day Light Savings. I've been studying Forex progr and also have been advised to exchange throughout the Major Global Trade as follows from EST..

Europe Market opens at 2:00am EST
Asian Market opens at 8:00pm EST
US Market opens at 8:00am EST

I understand the North American Market time will remain at 8:00am EST all year round. Will the Asian and Europe Markets open in the same EST time or does that need to be corrected when Day Light Savings occurrs? I've read that Asia and Europe use. If someone could clarify this, I'd be MOST appreciative =0) Thank you for reading.

    Best regards - Greg.

London opens @ 08:00 GMT NY unlocks 5 hrs after as EST is -5 GMT (13:00 GMT)
In summer both UK NY change to DST therefore then, London opens @ 08:00 BST (07:00GMT) and NY still unlocks 5hrs after @ 08:00 EDST (12:00 GMT)

So just to confirm, Tokyo doesn't have Day Light Saving and will always begin at 00:00 GMT?

    Best regards,

The fact that DST is really confusing is because countries that use it do it on different dates, so the time difference is messed up for some while before every one is back to synchronism.

Just get the precise dates that the US, the united kingdom and other major countries apply the DST time you will not be confused in any way.

    Thanks,

    Nader
