Thanks a lot for the explanation esuffw. I have been burned more than once by my feelings and it seems I am not alone.
Correct me if I am incorrect, but I feel a read another article once you mentioned a massive reduction on a non-asked-for trade. While I sympathize, what I remember is that you mentioned using limit orders as well as compounding. It's what actually made a difference in my trading outcomes and a key point of these successful traders I spoke to on FF. Well of course there's more than that for this, I have paid a massive price to understand that but I wouldn't like to see someone reverse-engineer my article and become immediately profitable and that I won't say more.
Still, it is a very important point, one of the features shared by innovative traders and I am really happy to find that it is part of your trading. I am not a master trader or anything but my guess is that you are far on the right track and everything will become better as soon as you find a way to avoid emotional bad trading.
So far as I'm concerned, I have given up trying to control my feelings because it is rather pointless. Instead, I have created a robot which won't trade if the daily reduction is 5 times my typical gain or the weekly reduction is ten times the average daily gain. It is going to immediately close any new trade. What's really weird is I never needed to use that robot since I made it because I would stop myself prior to attaining the limit, reluctant to let the robot order me about
Have a fantastic day esuffw!
