Having an understanding of a particular indior, particularly if it has been implemented as a powerful foundation for your own trading egy is important. Knowing if it's a, Leading, Lagging or momentum indior and a comprehension of it's logic will provide you with additional confidence at the indior. Also what it ought to be used for.

This is just one link to a resource for understanding indiors and overlays. It would be highly recommended by me.

Superior basics lists but Leading Indiors that they are not. There's no such thing. Price leads - nothing else can. Because all indiors are based on price, it may not itself lead price.
Every lagging and so-called leading indiors are all about probabilities. CCI/RSI/Stochastic Etc maybe better than Moving Averages Etc but it does not lead price.

    Suntrader,

I guess that comes down to the argument of influence that technical analysis has over the market. Does price lead a pattern or pattern lead the price. Or does price fall based on overvalue suggested by means of an indior or does this just fall based on bad fundamentals.

    It's a fascinating subject.

It's very essential: Price moves upward when sellers are no longer as anxious to market. Buyers become invited, New buyers get nervous to buy. Price pushes higher until most buyers are no longer worried to buy. You know what happens then.

Patterns/Indiors do operate some of this time. But the amount of change in price that they (may ) cause is incidental.

Patterns develop and indiors squiggle based on price. Not vice versa.

Just IMO. You don't have to agree. I will still say merry xmas from one sunny place to another.

Suntrader is entirely correct,'leading indiors' are dream BS utilized to tempt new traders to BS systems.
