Hello my name is Jackie, I grew up in Eastern North Carolina in the Usa. At nine years old my entire life changed forever when my father suddenly passed away. You may read more about the time in my entire life on one of my blogs http://jackieoquinn.blogspot.com/200...an-remind.html. Some time afterwards my mother met a man who played with a fatherly role in my entire life; although, it contrasted considerably the daddy I'd lost.

This man was a tobacco farmer and I ended up growing up on a plantation from 12 years old until I moved away from home. This lifetime experience taught me alot in life. It taught me life is brief and we're never promised a tomorrow. I went on to college that wasn't easy, at one point I ended up homeless (not around the roads just simply with out a place to call home). I slept to a stranger's couch for a couple of years. These strangers became friends of mine and I shall forever be grateful for their generosity. I graduated from Wilson Community College at Wilson NC with a Associates Degree in Nursing. Being a man in a predominately female career field was a great experience. I loved the cancer patients I cared for.

But during college I knew there was more in life that I wanted to have the ability to take advantage of. I'd started reading and learning on my own regarding business and investing. I knew that one day I was going find out more about both, and I have. Approximately 3 years after becoming a nurse I ended up starting a home based business. I have done very well working from home. At 28 years old some folks would say I reside The American Dream. In a large extent I would say that's true. I earn a great income and I work about 20 to 25 hours a week. Having seen and helped hundreds of other folks do exactly the same, something still keeps nagging at me. I will tell you more about that nagging feeling in a moment...

So business and investing haven't been my only passions that I have developed. I also have accquired a love for the sport of poker. I have been made aware of lots of people who have been in a position to play this game on the internet as their sole source of income. I respect people who have worked hard to develop that level of skill. I play poker part time, I am not a winning player but, 1 day I hope to create an additional stream of income out there too. But of the powerful poker players around I still see the same thing that nags me about the prosperous home based business owners.

Most of them are able to produce great incomes but they have very little if any skill at how to spend or manage income. This leads me where I am now. This motivates me to develop my additional abilities in investing. I would one day like to mix my business skills and teaching abilities that I have for business to investing, primarily forex investing.

Therefore I am currently still very new with forex investing but I have learned alot of the basics there are still alot I have to learn. I have been reading on this forum for over a year now. I have been doing alot of experimenting with demo accounts. I chose to start this journal as a way to continue to learn about forex investing and also to help me keep a better record of my transactions.

This journal is going to be a complilation of my life, my organization, my poker, and mostly my forex transactions. I look forward to learning alot from the comments, questions, suggestions.

My demo account is currently up 5 percent in 5 weeks. I trade about 1% on every trade. I trade the six majors. If all goes well this year and I feel confident in the end of the year I plan to trade a live account. The second year if that goes well I shall start a incubator fund. If that goes well the third year I shall start a hedge fund. Of course this could all go south right now in the very first year.

You will be able to see it all first hand... Stay posted for the next trade...

It is only one. I like to believe I've turned it into a really positive one.

In other news... I've opened no new trades now. I'm a long term trader who trades mostly off of daily charts.

I had been doing some reading on additional journals and that I came accross Jacko's house of pain. I really like his style and that I may adopt some things out of his trading style to my own. I especially love his trade with the trend style, which I usually do anyhow and his anithedging egy that I will be looking in the long run.

I hope to have something much more exciting for you tomorrow.

Today so far was uneventful. All 6 positions are currently open I do have a trailing stop about the Euro that will net me 56 pips if it gets hit.

To inform you alittle bit more about my demo account. I started it the first week of March with $3000. It is now at $3162.42

Tell you what, if you want a short cut to trading success, you could do worse than not just adopting some things but really trading strictly by his rules. Read the first page or a lot of times. (And ignore the latter pages where people are altering the system to suit them.) Demo trade it for a month. You'll see.

In any case, position or swing trading is the ideal way forward for newbies. That's why I prefer it, having tried different devious approaches to varying achievement.

It appears that Jacko really understands what he is doing. His results demone that. I actually developed my current style up to now from a different journal that I have been following for well over a year.

I shall continue to listen to Jacko and his pupils. I'm always seeking to find out as much as I can.

    Thanks again,
    Jackie

Well, you could note down the transactions you set and whether they are strictly Jacko's method or your personal. Compare the two after a month or so.
