It's not; he is running a negative expectation that will eventually ch him up. It's one of these trade lesons we all learn eventually. The key is, not to loose your excitement for the job whenever these items ch up to you. Just keep grinding forward and take that knowledge with you.

At the end of the day you want a system that includes a win% that's a little greater than 50 percent and winners that are only a little larger than loosers. Much beyond that, over years and years of gambling (not weeks and months) isn't very likely.

Continue with all the job, you are going to like the ride if you hang with it and are cautious on the way.

It is extremely common system in other markets
that do not trend in addition to 4x.
Works well in 4x in times like this

I have never seen any signs that Rob tades consistantly at all; Rob came on the FX scene about the same time I did and had been promoting the 10 pips per day version, every ounce of work I have ever done seems to indie this is not possible.

I'd be interested in knowing if anybody has ever seen a long-term track record for him that supports this methodology?

I have used a Number of systems. . The system actually doesn't matter.

What I do is make sure I'm right with the day 4 hour trend...
then just trade with it

I then look for the move from the 5 15 min charts to go away come back together with the trend.


I'm bidding 3-5 lots

TP is 10 spred
SL is 35

I am looking at each thing

I expect we stay like this until the new year!!!!

Hey TEB,

Ive been doing somthing similar the Last Few months. Although utilizing the daily TF and 3HR TF to determine current tendency because of Oandas platform. Ive been using a 5/12 EMA as a trigger on both HR. Take profits have been completely discretional, encourage resistance etc.. Ive managed to take a 10$ account to 42$ trading micro lots. Been lots of fun.

I am run in a none trending market!!
I know this is problem, in normal 4X
will change back when we start to fad

Oh I made a mistake that my SL is 25 pips not 35 sorry
(where I am getting in I view it 35pip)


Rob does make money a lot of it!
I don't like to trade this manner normaly.
I am not saying people need to trade how he can.
I don't even enjoy the 5/13/52 thing.

Hello . I am fairly new to this and I find your post to be very interesting. I was just considering EUR/USD and the 4 hour, and daily T.L's are very apparent but opposite( Daily:up $hr Down) would this be an example of you to stay away from?
What are you trading now?

But the system I am using say that they the day, 4 hour hour are upward
but I have the 15 5 mins down

what system are you using?

A simple 5 ema closed( blue ) more than 5 ema available ( Crimson ) on the day
4 hour will give the trend
or a 5 RSI on the day 4 hour will do it as well

It is really quite possible to be successful earning 10 pips per trade. Over the long haul, 10 adds up. An army starts with 1, but has supports of several. Do not knock on the system until you try it. Then still don't knock it as it didn't work for you, it may do the job as well for somebody else.

The only concern I have for this system, which I am using as well, but minimal 20 pips per day, $10 lots is that you just let your profits run and cut your falls short. At 5:00 pm Eastern, when I've collected 20 or more pips, I have had a prosperous trading day. Here's what 20 pips per day over a month time period can give you.

1 Lot x 10 x 20 x 20 (average trading days a month) = $4,000
