Thread: MT4 Broker allowing less than .01 lots?

Any exist? I'm currently trading basically .0025 lots (2.5c a pip) on Oanda but with their coffee interface and employing a demonion MT4 for charting. It seems every broker simply allows .01 lots in MT4 even when you can type your value in that box. I feel like these ultra small lots allow me to understand and have an emotional attachment too (something pure demonion doesn't give you)...

I debated posting this in rookie discussion...

Notice that I do NOT KNOW this will operate. I know that I have been demoing oanda and now I have done this with lot numbers. I entered 100,123 units on coffee and I handled it on mT4 where it revealed as 1 lot but on coffee it still showed as 100,123 units. I'm new to oanda (demo only on it) so that I could be completely wrong.
I frankly didn't consider this... You input the trade in coffee, but you can then handle it in MT4? I believed when you allowed an account for MT4 on Oanda, you could not use the coffee interface anymore...

I did it again in demo.

But when I attempted 250 units it did not proceed to MT4. Seems as if you can perform it subject to minimums on Mt4. Sorry

    Thanks for the help...

http://www.ibfx.com.au/Promo/Account-Types offer standard and miniature mt4 accounts, so a mini account trading 0.01 lots must provide you 1c/pip lot sizes I think, whereas a standard account 0.01 lots is 10c/pip. I believe I am correct in saying that, but I don't trade with them not 100% sure.

Go Markets L-Plate account, minimum trade size is 100 units, 1 cent per pip

Indeed IBFX offers mini accounts in which 1 lot = 10000 units ($) and 0.01 lots = 100 components ($0.01/pip), rather than only in Australia...

Thanks muzza. I never knew that. I thought IBFX was USA only. Do they have other countries as well? I looked for connection, but couldn't find one.

Sorry, I watch now. Australia and USA are choices.

Can you not create a sub-account in oanda and make it MT4 enabled. Subsequently chart on MT4 but enter your commerce on Oanda coffee at 0.0025 lots. Then handle the trade from the MT4 interface.

Note that I do NOT KNOW this will operate. I just know that I have been demoing oanda and I have done this with regular lot numbers. I entered 100,123 units on coffee and I managed it on mT4 in which it revealed as 1 lot but on coffee it showed as 100,123 units. I'm new to oanda (demonion just on it) so I could be totally wrong.
