Thread: Pepperstone U.K. back in business

  1. #1
Looks like Pepperstone UK are back in business, though I'm surprised to find almost no publicity about this the very first I heard was receiving an e-mail on Friday 11th informing me I needed to open a new account with all the UK if I wished to continue trading using Pepperstone, my account could be shut. Don't misunderstand, I have been very happy with Pepperstone Australia, however why do Brokers always need to resort to ultimatums. We live in a digital era, we could traverse the world in milliseconds that I reside in Europe and also have accounts with Brokers in the usa so why does it matter where we and they are loed?

Any one else having to start a new account with Pepperstone UK?

it seems the order execution time is slow but you shut trades with more reduction and also more profit.

Yes, I'm pretty pissed that they induce me to move from Pepperstone AUS to Pepperstone UK only because I reside at EU, and so what? In case FCA will decide in January to lower leverage they will lose many clients for certain...

sick open an account if they have spreads lower than 0.5 on EU 0.7 on AU, 0.8 on UJ, 0.9 on GU... and they offer a spread betting account, All through Mt4, and no commission. Ive learned about them a lot

    Thanks for responding everyone.
The question is, would you like to keep trading with Pepperstone? I personally will, ok it is a pain having to open a new account but it is not a major one and so far as I am concerned Better the devil you know! That is until some thing happens to alter that view.
At the present time there is absolutely no information on trading conditions for Pepperstone UK, there is not a site, everything links straight back to Australia so either everything pub the place remains the same or, we might have a major shock, who understands, for now I am keeping an open mind and waiting to see although with all the accounts being effectively shut on August 25th, there is not much time to move into another broker if that's what you opt to do!

Agreed, but it is not Pepperstone's fault, it is the fault of the FCA.

Pepperstone it isn't market maker! You've got 0,1-0,2 pip spread on eurusd and commission 7 AUD or USD based on account currency (6,1 with rebate). No spread betting for sure.

You will find exactly the same conditions for Pepperstone UK and there'll no additional website. Of course it is far better to be under FCA authority than ASIC, but I hope they will not kill the market by decreasing leverage to 1:50. I shall move account for sure.

I got the email. I decided to close my account with them. I despise ultimatums. Actually, they've been communiing through this whole time like they just don't care about their EU customers. If you would like to stay with us, here are the conditions. If not, you can go, or we'll close your account. At no time, they attempted to explain why we must move to UK and shut the account. I favor IC.
