Hi,
Is there a automatic chart pattern drawer for MT4?
Such as: Symmetrical Triangles Ascending Triangles Descending Triangles Double Top Double Bottom Head and Shoulders Reverse Head and Shoulders thank you

Folks are missing the point, and that's fine.
I really do know that markets do not only move themselves. I'm not new to this. I know the underlying mechanisms of what makes a market, and also that which makes a market movement.
This really is a little in the domain of off-point, but if I gave you 1 input leading to some output signal then is the output arbitrary? no, of course not. You can figure-out exactly what the output will be from the 1 input. What about two inputs? No, it is still probably rather easy to ascertain the outcome. What about 100, or 10, or 100, or 1000? At what stage do you decide that just because you understand what the inputs are you're still dealing with something that can be, for all intents and purposes, arbitrary? No actually, because some of you have some very loose opinions on what is, and what is not, deterministic versus basically arbitrary. If you get down to the nuts and bolts then nothing, anywhere, is really arbitrary... that does not mean it is not virtually random for our purposes and perspective.
If charts were not as random as you guys want to try to impart on to me theny'all need to be hitting on a very nice high win-rate with a fitting risk:reward, yes?
A lot of'but but but' tonight on the forum. 'but charts are not arbitrary'. 'but chart patterns are not arbitrary'. 'but chart patterns have been derived from input'. 'but random would mean infinite range'. 'but...'.
Anyway, it is all good.
You appear to be trying to make my point for me, however with a disagreeing tone. It is somewhat conflicting.
I think you're going to have to become accustomed to drawing on your trend lines and trend channels yourself. It is really not that hard.
On a 4 hour chart, you hardly need adjust them a day. On a 15 minute chart, you'll be fixing and redrawing them a few times a day.
The major thing I like about trend channels, is their signals, don't change if you change the time period, which is what occurs with mathematical indiors. Change the time frame and also a buy signal may change to a sell signal. With fad channels, when you change the time period, all you get is a closer view. Think abouts it.
Thank you, the reason I'm asking is because occasionally I have a hard time deciding where to draw the traces!!! However, I suppose with exprience I should get better...
thanks
I really don't understand about chart patterns however they have indiors which indentify candlestick patterns. I mean that they identify a hell of a lot of different patterns and draw them onto the chart.
I really don't have it anymore, but only search around the world wide web, yahoo groups and the a variety of forum sites and you should be able to find it.
Ycomp do you remember the name of the indior?
I've googled but Google provides no results. .
... that would function as one (see attached)Originally Posted by ;

I came by a chart pattern recognition software lately...I tried it is not quite as dependable as the human mind, it might help find possible patterns without needing to test each and every chart with the naked eye...Originally Posted by ;
You can try it at http://www.cpfinder.com...If you enjoy it, I think you can purchase a copy for around $300 or so. . .Might be worth the cash for you. .
Thanks,

does anyone really try using these indiors before posting them? This pattern recognition mq4 is gibberish and completely useless.Originally Posted by ;
