I do not disagree with you, but I think many folks reading this thread are not so advanced. Thus they might well examine their broker's current (or historical ) 4hr bar or candle and think that everybody else sees the exact same large, low etc when the fact is that many will notice an entirely different bar calculated between different occasions.Originally Posted by ;

Ian
I stumbled across this thread and found the title pertinent to my current trading. I came across a good source for price action instruction. I use price action setups for my trading and its own has been working for me personally. I havent put any indiors on my charts, out side of some few moving averages, in months. Price action analysis allows you to focus on what really matters from the market, by focusing on a few time-proven setups and controlling our risk-reward ratio its potential to make money.
Hi Ian,
Thank You for Answering and your PM. Since my posting above I've been feverishly ravishing the FX forum to find the answers about good-bad brokers - dealing desk, NDD, Market maker, ECN, sprad betting. So that the article was overcome by events. Thanks and sorry for taking up space. As you can see its a jungle out here in FX newbie land and I am spending a lot of time amassing data etc to incorporatre likelihood trading egies - consequently - what works for me. So I am on the travel and I am working night and day to figure out this.
So here are some questions for you;
When what I read in this thread is correct you only use MT4 for installments then to spreadbet for trading. What is your usual time horizon for trades? I'd think that it will be day to days since you have?
@lartrade0623;
I discovered Ian from the Trader 101 Basket trading posts - which I think uses price action and price action differentials (am I correct?) . Would you share yours provide a link as I'm a newbie trying to find out new trading strategies.
Thanks so much Beforehand.
The bulk of my successful trades derive from Joel Rensink's complimentary egies - mainly First Strike which I have adapted to suit my requirements. These are based off 1 hr charts and last a maximun of seven times, but normally only two or three days.Originally Posted by ;

Lartrade may have been trying to market a commercial web site. When I saw his post it had a link in it. It doesn't - even though it isn't revealed as edited ( so maybe Twee eliminated it).Originally Posted by ;
IMO, the site has some fantastic free videos, but I don't know if the course it advertises is well worth the cash ( or value anything).
If anybody wants the address of lartrade's friend's site the they can PM him or they can PM me.
If anybody wants more info about Joel Rensink or about my altered version of his original FirstStrike, then:
firstly read Post # 10 in this thread
then you may PM me with any questions you may have.
many pips to all,
Ian
