It's some type of art form where you believe that you are prepared but when you show up on stage before the audience that you forget your lines and are booed off the stage.

    I was reading a post about http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-1...ls-on-oil.html.

One of them was Two Sigma, a $24 billion company run by a former artificial intelligence instructional and a math olympian.

So I thought it was a hoot when I moved to http://www.twosigma.com/culture.html#our-people and found they listed having a winner of a major Japanese Backgammon Championship as an employee.

Trading reminds me of when I had been learning to play guitar and play with bands. For quite a while, time and all of this money sinks to what you are doing and you still suck. You begin to get your legs and you also get some good results in a while. You get to a point you begin seeing some results that are fantastic more frequently and where your personality starts to show in your endeavours. I have there to a point in my guitar playing, still attempting to get there always in my own trading.

    Thanks to this interesting thread.

    Have a great day all

To mepersonally, trading is similar to chess. It combines tactics and egy. The more people can recognize certain patterns that the better we become at responding to what the market gives us; which is also much like chess. The best chess players learn many distinct lines of openings and are students; understanding the main ideas behind each those openings and lines. In trading similar study must take place in order to accomplish a master degree. Great analogy!

First you tell me if Chess is like poker, checkers or roulette? Or can it be that poker is like checkers chess or roulette? Can I be right in saying that checkers is like poker, chess and roulette? I think roulette is like chess, poker or checkers. Or can it be that trading is still. The result is uncertain, dependent on several variables, intensity or effect of the factors keeps on shifting, rate or spread fluctuate.... But the most common thing between any bet and trading is like shitting in your pants, that lots of times you really feel.
