Ethereum maintains bullish bias

The technical outlook on Ethereum hasn#8217;t changed much since our last upgrade on it in the start of the month (see https://on.forex.com/2Im83lA for longer). As mentioned then, ETH/USD was showing relative strength one of the major cryptos, which still remains the situation. Although last week8217;s pullback watched Ethereum go below the $700 support level, it has now risen back and price not broke beneath the invalidation level of $627 to tilt the prejudice back to bearish. With Ethereum back above the 200-day typical, the bullish bias consequently remains intact for now. We'd identified the region between $800 and $835, which was previously support, as the following resistance zone.

When it was, this region did in fact become resistance. However, the consequent sell-off from this region has been moderate thus far, pointing to small profit-taking there. Moving forward, the bulls will be trusting that it frees this $800-$835 resistance range in order to confirm that the buyers are well and truly in control again. If it happens to be the situation then the upcoming bullish goal would be the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level at $1016/7. Alternatively, if Ethereum goes beneath the aforementioned $700 support level and holds below it for some time then this would increase the odds of a breakdown below that $627 degree. Within this potential situation, Ethereum#8217;s next stop could very well be around the next support at $535 or even lower.
